Port-Cros is a strictly protected national park — no vehicles, no bicycles, no scooters. All exploration is on foot along marked trails. The island is compact (7km²) and all main points of interest are reachable on foot.
Free trail maps are available from the national park information kiosk at the harbour. The main trails are well marked. Wear comfortable walking shoes with ankle support.
Rent a car at Toulon-Hyères airport for mainland travel before or after your visit to Port-Cros. Leave it in Le Lavandou's port car park while you're on the island.
