Cát Bà is an adventure island: boat trips in Lan Hạ Bay, climbing on limestone cliffs, hiking in the national park’s forest. Note that local authorities have restricted kayaking in Lan Hạ Bay, often replaced by rowed bamboo boats: check what is actually offered when booking. The bay entrance fee (50,000 to 80,000 đồng depending on the route) is usually included in tours.
