From Port-d'Argol, an easy eight-kilometre loop strings together beaches, rocky points, the lagoon and flowering heath, with the Grands Cardinaux lighthouse in your sights. The finest way to see everything.

White sand and russet rocks at Port-Blanc, Argol beach where the ferry lands, Beg er Lannegi facing the yachts at anchor: three beaches for three moods, often deserted in the morning.

Restored in 2018-2019, the fort hosts guided tours and exhibitions on the island's wildlife, flora and history, run by the Conservatoire du littoral and the Melvan association.

A 4.10 m menhir Christianised with a cross and statue niche, and a neighbouring dolmen, listed monuments since 1926: five thousand years of human presence in one field.

The Hoëdic sailing club runs summer courses; operators from the bay offer kayak trips to Houat. By the lagoon, bring binoculars for waders and terns.
