East-coast dive centre: try dives, exploration dives, PADI and FFESSM courses, freediving and whale-watching trips from July to November.

Dive centre and school open all year: try dives from age 8, exploration dives, courses, snorkelling and whale-watching trips from 20 July to 20 November.

Boat trips with Captain Tamatoa: rays and sharks in the lagoon, fishing, sunset cruises and humpback whale encounters from July to November.

Boat excursions: lagoon tour and snorkelling, whale-watching trips with in-water encounters (where authorised) and fishing.

Private lagoon tours by boat for up to 6 people, and licence-free boat hire at Papetoai quay.

Treetop adventure park with eight courses on the Opunohu estate, near the belvedere, the pineapple fields and the marae.

3.5-hour guided quad tours (2 people per quad) through the Opunohu estate to the Belvedere lookout and an archaeological site.

Eco-museum of Polynesian biodiversity and culture, with aquariums, collections and immersive experiences, open Tuesday to Sunday.

Agricultural rum distillery at the foot of Mount Rotui, on the Moorea Fruit Juice site: tours and tastings on weekdays.
