Bike, scooter, taxi and water taxi: getting around the Avatoru motu and over to Tiputa

โš ๏ธ Timetables, opening hours, prices and access conditions may change without notice, for reasons beyond our control (season, weather, decisions by operators, venues or local authorities). Before every trip, check the information with the relevant authorities and service providers.

Getting around the atoll: bike, scooter and water taxi

Our car hire comparison tool has no offers for French Polynesia: in Rangiroa, cars, scooters and bikes are hired directly from local companies in Avatoru, and many guesthouses lend bikes. To reach Tiputa, a water taxi crosses the pass; the Tourism Committee keeps the list of taxis and hire companies.
