A world-renowned dive center, famous for its shark dives and sites used in James Bond films. Snorkeling trips and intro dives available.

Over four acres of tropical gardens in Nassau, home to more than 135 animals and to Caribbean flamingos, the national bird of the Bahamas, which star in a daily show. Rabbit feeding takes place at 2.30pm and tortoise feeding at 11.30am.

A food-tasting and cultural walking tour of downtown Nassau: Bites of Nassau lasts three hours, in a small group, with five tasting stops. Private culinary and culture tours tailored to the group's tastes and schedule are also available.

A distillery at the Buena Vista Estate, 17 Delancy Street, Nassau. The free walk-in tour needs no reservation and includes a cocktail sample; the Rum Academy offers bookable mixology, tasting and bottle-your-own experiences. Open daily 10am to 6pm, closed on public holidays.

An excursion operator in the Exumas offering swimming pigs, snorkelling, scuba diving and fishing, departing from Staniel Cay, Nassau or Florida. Other trips include Normans Cay, the Exuma Land and Sea Park, the underwater piano and a whale-watching tour.

The national gallery stands at West & West Hill Street in Nassau. Its exhibitions range from the permanent collection to contemporary art, the campus has an Art Park, and the Sundays at NAGB programme is free for Bahamian residents.
