Boats to Saint-Nicolas
Vedettes de l'Odet serve Saint-Nicolas from Bénodet, Concarneau, Beg-Meil, Port-la-Forêt and Loctudy from April to September, leaving in the morning and returning in the late afternoon. Glénan Découverte offers the shortest crossing, from Trévignon. There are no services in winter. For another Finistère escape, Île de Sein is reached from Audierne.
Entry formalities and arrival
UK travellers need a valid passport; under the EU Entry/Exit System, your details are recorded on arrival. The Glénan have no cars and no conventional accommodation: visits are day trips on foot, by kayak or diving. Bring water, a picnic and sun protection. When to go and what it costs
From June to September, turquoise water and white sand give the Glénan a lagoon feel. In July and August, book the boat several days ahead. A return trip costs around forty euros per adult, depending on the departure port.
