The closest airports are Takamatsu (TKS) and Okayama (OKJ). From Tokyo: 1h15. Both airports are then 1h from the ferry terminals.
Take the Shinkansen to Okayama or Takamatsu, then a bus or train to the ferry port. Takamatsu ferry (1h) is often the most convenient.
Regular ferries from Uno Port (Okayama Prefecture) take just 20 minutes. Uno is accessible by train from Okayama in 1h.
High-speed ferry from Takamatsu takes 60 minutes and runs several times daily. Most popular option for visitors from western Japan.
