Entry requirements

For a tourist stay, French citizens receive an electronic "social visit pass" on arrival allowing them to stay for up to 90 days, with no visa to apply for in advance. Passport valid for at least 6 months after your departure date from Singapore; a return or onward ticket is required. The SG Arrival Card (including a health declaration) is compulsory and free: fill it in online on the ICA website or the MyICA app within the 3 days before arrival.

When to go?

From February to April, when the north-east monsoon eases: drier weather, calm seas and heat (around 30 °C) that is quite bearable in the shade. December and January are the wettest months; from June to September, the south-west monsoon mainly brings storms in the early hours and in the morning. If possible, avoid weekends and Singapore school holidays, which are very busy.

Are there direct flights from France?

Yes: Air France and Singapore Airlines fly non-stop from Paris-Charles de Gaulle to Singapore in about 13 hours. Singapore Airlines also flies direct from Brussels.

Do French citizens need a visa?

No, for a tourist stay of up to 90 days. Your passport must be valid for six months after departure, and the free SG Arrival Card is completed online within the three days before arrival.

How do I get from the airport to Sentosa?

By taxi or Grab, allow about 30 minutes to the island (entry fee extra). By MRT, travel to HarbourFront with one or two changes, then take the Boardwalk on foot or the Sentosa Express.

How many days should I plan?

One day is enough for the beaches and the fort; two to three nights let you add a theme park, the trails and a sunset on the beach without rushing.

You reach Sentosa via Singapore Changi Airport, served non-stop from Paris by Air France and Singapore Airlines (about 13 hours). From Changi, the MRT or a taxi takes you to HarbourFront, gateway to the island, in 30 to 60 minutes.
